Our Mission
Long Island Health Care is proud of its reputation as the premier provider of home infusion therapy in the region for over 30 years. Delivering comprehensive patient care through our combined efforts with other members of the health care team such as physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, nutritionists and discharge planners.
Our History
In 1989, Long Island Health Care, LLC (LIHC) formerly known as Long Island Registered Nurses, was founded by a group of Registered Nurses whose goal was to improve the quality of home health care that patients were receiving. Their objective was to provide quality care with a personal touch. That concept still holds true today as the vision of LIHC. Long Island Health Care is a desired company for the most talented Registered Nurses and Practitioners. Our vetted and experienced nurses allow our patients to receive complicated and extensive treatments from the comfort of their home with confidence.
LIHC has always been a company owned and operated by nurses. This gives LIHC a unique advantage allowing the delivery of professional and quality service.
LIHC upholds the health care standards set forth by the Infusion Nurses Society, Center for Disease Control, Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, New York State Department of Health, Occupation Safety and Health Administration, American Nurses Association and Oncology Nurses Society
